This Privacy Policy describes how the Google Drive Video/Audio Downloader Chrome extension ("we", "our", or "the extension") handles information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

            any personal data, user information, or browsing history. All processing happens locally in your browser.

We do NOT collect any data.

No personal information is collected

How the Extension Works

The extension operates entirely locally in your browser:

It intercepts network requests from Google Drive video player pages
It identifies the largest video and audio stream URLs
When you click the extension icon, it downloads these files directly to your computer
All processing happens in your browser - no data leaves your device

Permissions Explained

The extension requires the following permissions:

webRequest: Required to intercept Google Drive video stream requests to identify download URLs
tabs: Required to identify which browser tab contains the Google Drive video
downloads: Required to download the video and audio files to your computer
<all_urls>: Required to access Google Drive video URLs (only used when you're on a Google Drive page)

These permissions are used only for the extension's core functionality. They are not used to collect or transmit any data.

Data Storage

The extension uses Chrome's local storage API to temporarily store video and audio URLs only while you're using the extension. This data is:

Stored locally on your device only
Deleted when you close the browser tab
Never transmitted to any external server
Never shared with third parties

Third-Party Services

This extension does not use any third-party services, analytics tools, or external APIs. It only communicates with Google Drive to download video and audio files when you explicitly request a download by clicking the extension icon.

Children's Privacy

This extension does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children. Since we don't collect data, this is not applicable.
